Hello, I’m Marie. I live in the beautiful countryside of North Devon with my husband, our four children, and our cat, Coco. It’s a place that invites stories—quiet lanes, big skies, and enough wildness to keep the imagination awake.
I’m a reader and writer across genres, drawn to language in all its forms. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s in Creative Writing, and storytelling has been the thread running through my life for as long as I can remember.
This year is an important one for me creatively. My goal is to finish with two fully edited book manuscripts, complete the first draft of a new novel, and take the exciting step of seeking literary representation. It’s a year of focus, commitment, and believing in the work.
When I’m not writing fiction, I’m often writing songs, singing, or playing the guitar. As long as I’m shaping a story—whether on the page or through music—I’m happy. Creativity isn’t just what I do; it’s how I understand the world.
